Wow, very nice use of light and colour indeed. The vibrant almost pop-art like colour is immediately captivating and provides a very bright, upbeat tone to the image. It still retains that realistic tone seen with the wall and the leaves, and having that balance between a cartoon-like portrayal and realism is quite intriguing, and it seems to work extraordinarily well!

I love the textures on the wall and leaves; the light really highlights the materials of the structures and increases the impact of the piece. The dynamic of the textures in shifting up the patterns and gradients of colour as opposed to simple blocks is very nice, and paired with that elegant painterly style, very beautiful.

The shadows to the right also work very nicely to add more depth to the image and increase the atmosphere around the house with a lovely use of the darkness slowly seeping from the dense tree canopy, conveying a smooth, cohesive transition, much like with the door. This is another feature of this image I feel that contributes to the charming nature.

However, I do feel as if the most striking thing about the image is the composition of the colour.
Very evidently, the distinct red-brown is spread evenly throughout the piece with the door and the shadows, as is the orange, as is the leafy green - all of this balance really creates a rather harmonious scene with lots of cohesion and an easily expressible central theme.
The colours simply working together to create a warm atmosphere in themselves really help the synergy between them to truly stand out. As always, having a simplistic colour palette but using it in a diverse and balanced sense works very nicely to clearly and cohesively convey an idea.

Again, wonderful use of colour and light, awesome work!
